Welcome

Hi, I am Jamie and I am a newlywed from the SF Bay Area. My husband and I got married on June 11, 2011 in Sunol, CA. This blog is my attempt to document our lives together.

Blogging is always something that intrigued me. In school I never liked writing, but always liked the idea of putting things into words. I've kept journals (online and off) before, but that was just jotting down how I was feeling that particular day or what I had done during the week.

I should probably tell you a little bit about myself and my hubby. As I said, my name is Jamie and we will call hubby C. Growing up, I lived all around the country (CO, MA, Southern CA, and Northern CA). My family has always referred to ourselves as gypsies. It was amazing growing up in such different parts of the country and I have come to appreciate the different cultures of each one. Now that I am married I have a feeling we will be staying here in the Bay Area. C was born and raised here and it would take a lot to get him to leave. I am ok with this because even though it is expensive to live here you can't ask for a better place to live.

We love to travel and hope to see more of the world. I enjoy being in the kitchen, as good or bad a cook I am. I am learning and hope to create a cooking bucket list very soon. We are outdoorsy people; we camp in the summer, hike, bike, and I love to ski in the winter. (I never seem to get to the mountains enough in the winter though.)

When I met C he was a huge SF Giants fan. I liked baseball, but never really followed one particular team. I always kind of rooted for the teams from where I lived. C introduced me to the Giants and I have come to love and understand baseball more. To show how much we love them, we even included the Giants in our wedding vows (WILL YOU LOVE HIM/HER IN SICKNESS OR HEALTH, IN TIME OF DIFFICULTY OR EASE, IN TIME OF DISCOURAGEMENT OR HAPPINESS, IN TIMES OF SUCCESS OR FAILURE, IF THE GIANTS WIN OR LOSE.  WILL YOU CHERISH HIM/HER AS LONG AS YOU BOTH SHALL LIVE?).

In this blog I hope to include our travels, recipes, photos, and whatever comes along. Being newlyweds, we have so many new things we are going to experience and I hope to document these new experiences. I hope you will follow along and enjoy what we have to offer.
